Welcome to Wondrous

Hello, and welcome to Wondrous.

This blog began with my daughter. When we were told she was autistic, my world shifted. It took me a while to process what that truly meant—not just for her, but for how we navigated life together. Over time, I came to realize just how much of the world is not created with a child like her in mind. It was a sobering realization—but it was also the beginning of something beautiful.

Her diagnosis didn’t define her; it opened my eyes to her extraordinary way of seeing the world. She has taught me to slow down, to notice things I might have missed before, and to appreciate the beauty in differences. But it also made me keenly aware of how hard it can be for children like her to find a space where they belong, where they are seen and celebrated for who they truly are.

That’s why I created Wondrous.

This isn’t just a blog; it’s a mission. A space where children of all abilities are honored and their stories are told with care and love. It’s for every child who doesn’t fit the mold, for every parent navigating the complexities of a world that often overlooks their child’s brilliance, and for anyone who believes in the power of wonder to create a kinder, more inclusive world.

Through Wondrous, I want to celebrate the individuality of every child, no matter their disability. I want to share stories that uplift, inspire, and remind us all to see the extraordinary in every child’s journey. Because every child deserves to feel valued and understood—and every difference is a story worth telling.

This blog is a love letter to my daughter and to every child who has ever felt like the world wasn’t built with them in mind. My hope is that Wondrous becomes a beacon, a place where wonder reigns, and every child is celebrated for the incredible human they are.
